Get Ready, Juneau: Help Get the Word Out Before the Floods

As glacial outburst flooding threatens our community again this year, United Way of Southeast Alaska is stepping up to support early preparedness efforts and we need your help.

In partnership with the City and Borough of Juneau and Tlingit & Haida, United Way is helping coordinate pre-flood outreach including door-to-door information delivery and volunteer coordination support.

If you can volunteer in the days ahead (whether to deliver materials, help organize response efforts, or assist with future flood recovery) we invite you to fill out a short form at unitedwayseak.org/2025-flood-relief.

The same form will also allow residents to request help so we can connect volunteers with community needs. Right now, we can make sure our neighbors are informed and supported before disaster strikes.
